Before becoming a mortgage broker, Mala spent 13 years working with leading Australian banks. That experience gave her a practical understanding of how lending decisions are assessed and why the structure of an application can matter just as much as the numbers. Over a 19-year career in finance and lending, she has worked across residential lending, refinancing, investment property finance, construction, SMSF lending, trust structures and complex credit scenarios.

Mala also holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, alongside her finance and mortgage broking qualifications. Her background across banking, consulting, communications and business transformation means she is comfortable looking beyond the immediate transaction, particularly when working with professionals and business owners whose finances do not always fit into a standard box.
